Prints - Archival Mounting Material & Framing
All images are hand printed on Ilford, Forte or Kentmere Fibre and Resin coated paper, and then chemically toned to add effect and archival permanence.
The images you see on this site are digital scans from the original negatives, and are as close a preview of the traditional wet prints a possible, although trying to mimic the original print quality is near impossible!
I am committed to preserving the longevity of your print I use archival mounting methods and materials in all of my print orders. All prints are "float" or "hinge" mounted with archival tape or acid free mounting Corners to allow for print movement, as photographic paper expands and contracts with differences in temperature and humidity!
All prints are mounted to (PH neutral) acid-free archival board. All over-mattes are Daler-Rowney, 100% archival acid-free matte board. Over-mattes are installed with double sided archival adhesive that allows for removal at a late date of the over-matte, if desired, without damage to the print itself.
Alternatively the print can be heat dry-mounted in a vacuum press, this ensures a perfectly flat wave free print, but means the print and backboard become one and cannot be separated at a later date. This would be done on request and then add a little more cost to the final finished price.
I like to supply mounted prints in a High quality Black semi-matt frame sealed at the rear with archival gum tape to stop infestation, strung and ready to hang! Please see example at the bottom of the page.
Any images purchased through the website as an online transaction, once received if you are not completely satisfied as long as they are returned in perfect condition (within 14 days of receipt) I will be only to pleased to offer a full refund excluding P&P!
